We are invited to discover the love of the Father, to live His Mercy during Lent. Jesus reveals it in the parable of the two sons.
On the return of the prodigal son, the father rushes to embrace him; “My son has returned alive! Let us celebrate his return”.
The elder son becomes angry and refuses to enter the house, he sulks, considering the fact that he has fulfilled his duty, he reproaches his father, who answers;
God is a loving, compassionate, merciful Father, who desires that we share in His blessed, eternal life. Such is his master plan of love for His children.
“The Spirit leads us into the love relationship which exists between
the Son and the Father, freeing us for the works of salvation.” RL1.58
May the Spirit uproot fear, rancor,
May the Spirit give us the grace to experience this joy of being His child
and revealing your fatherly compassionate love.
May your Spirit form Jesus, the Son, in us and we will be enlivened.
“Whenever we encounter another person with the Spirit of Christ,
we encounter the mercy and fidelity of the father, His infinitely varied gifts.
“ Wherever you lead us, may we be witnesses of your Mercy! ”
